Neurodermatitis
Neurodermatitis is a hard, patchy scale most often limited to the upper nape of your neck. It is most common in middle-aged women and, as the name suggests, is associated with nerves and the nervous system.
Although neurodermatitis can be incredibly itchy, try not to scratch. This constant physical trauma can aggravate the condition by making your scalp bleed and potentially making the flakes even harder.
